If may experience a combination of symptoms, including fever, chills, rash, night sweats, muscle aches, sore throat, fatigue, and swollen lymph nodes. As the infection progresses, unexplained weight loss, frequent fevers, and persistent skin rashes may occur. Some individuals may also develop short-term memory difficulties, along with mouth, genital, or anal sores commonly linked to herpes infections.

The primary stage is characterized by painless sores at the site of infection, followed in the secondary stage by skin rashes and mucous membrane lesions. Additional manifestations may include fever, swollen lymph nodes, sore throat, patchy hair loss, headaches, weight loss, muscle aches, and fatigue. In the latent stage, the infection may progress silently, potentially leading to damage of internal organs over time.

Infection may present with a burning sensation during urination, increased genital discharge, and, in some cases, painful or swollen testicles. Additional manifestations can include bleeding between menstrual periods and sore throat when the infection involves the throat.

Manifestations may include painful urination and abnormal genital discharge. In men, testicular pain may occur, while in women, symptoms can include pain during sexual intercourse and bleeding between menstrual periods.

Infection may be associated with yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice), dark urine, abdominal discomfort, joint pain, fever, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and severe fatigue. In cases of chronic infection, progressive liver damage may also occur.

Symptoms may include pain or itching in the genital area, the appearance of small red bumps or blisters that progress to painful ulcers, and scabbing as the ulcers begin to heal. In cases of oral herpes, sores may also develop on the lips or inside the mouth.
